3月28日，上海市静安区委宣传部副部长，外宣办、新闻办主任周晴华女士、科长黄文敏先生到访曼彻斯特大学中国中心，并与中心主任及员工代表一起探讨交流了静安区政府对区内外资企业的关注与支持。

On March 28th, Madame Qinhua Zhou (Vice minister of Shanghai Jing' an district publicity department & Director of information office of people’s government of Jing' an district) and Mr. Wenmin Huang (Section chief) visited University of Manchester China Centre, and exchanged thoughts with China Centre Director and staff representative regarding Jing' an government’s concern and support for Jing' an based foreign-funded enterprises.

曼彻斯特大学中国中心主任傅潇霄女士热情接待并回顾了曼大中心在静安区的十年征程，从南京西路上“初创”的一小间办公室到现在上海商城1000余平方米的国际中心，曼大在华十年不断稳健发展。

Ms. Sherry Fu, director of University of Manchester China Centre, expressed warm welcome to visiting guests and briefly reviewed the ten-year journey of China Centre’s development in Jing' an, from a small "start-up" along the east side of Nanjing West Road to the current established international centre occupying approximately 1000 square meters in Shanghai Centre, the University of Manchester has progressed through a decade of steady development.

目前曼大中国中心支持千余位GMBA校友、万余名曼大在华校友，与多所中国优质高校建立合作，成为国内外知名企业的合作伙伴，坚持助力国际人才培养、致力于中英文化教育传播并积极履行社会责任，通过募捐、支教、公开讲座等形式组织员工和校友参与公益活动。

Since its establishment in 2008, the China Centre has been supporting nearly 1,300 GMBA alumni and about 15,000 university alumni in China. At present, the China Centre has established cooperation with a number of top Chinese universities, become partners with industry-leading locally and internationally based enterprises, adhered to international talent training, committed to the promotion of Sino-UK education and culture, and fulfilled social responsibility through fund-raising, volunteering, public lectures and organizing staff and alumni to participate in public welfare activities.

从中国国家领导人访问曼彻斯特大学到近期曼彻斯特大学校长作为教育界代表再次陪同英国首相访华，曼大中国中心坚持通过及时有效的媒体报道，宣传中英两国在教育、文化及商业领域的交流与合作，并在2017年获颁美通社“优秀传播奖”。

From Chinese President’s visit to the University of Manchester to the British prime minister’s recent China trip once again accompanied by the President and Vice-Chancellor of the University of Manchester as representative in the education sector, the University of Manchester China Centre uses timely and effective media coverage to promote Sino-UK exchanges and cooperation in the fields of education, culture and business, and was awarded the "Excellent Communication Award" by PRNewswire in the year of 2017.

周晴华女士首先充分肯定了曼大中国中心十年发展取得的成绩。作为上海市静安区委宣传部副部长，周晴华女士特别分享了上海市静安区委宣传部宣传活动的丰富经验，其中静安区三大排队现象：“荣宅Prada”、“Sleep no more浸没式剧目”以及“全球最大星巴克”展示了静安区在文化发展、宣传运作上的优秀表彰作用。此外，2017年“上海静安”微信公众号累计阅读数达461万，近期的静安区卫生计生系统“十佳评选活动”吸引了20万浏览量，“看郁金香花展”获得50万直播观看人次，等等的优异宣传成绩肯定了静安区委紧跟时代潮流，活跃运用新媒体进行活动宣传、扩大活动影响力的有效尝试。

Madame Qinhua Zhou first fully affirmed the achievements of the ten-year development of the University of Manchester China Centre. As the Vice minister of Shanghai Jing' an district publicity department, Madame Qinhua Zhou shared their rich experience of the promoting activities in Jing' an, such as three major queuing phenomenon: “Shanghai Prada Rong Zhai ", "the Sleep No More immersive theatrical experience" and "the world's largest Starbucks", all showing Jing' an’s excellent performance in promoting cultural exchanges, raising public awareness and keeping the public informed about the government's development. In addition, its micro social platform "Shanghai Jing' an" has attracted 4.61 million reader hits in 2017, the recent Jing' an Health and family planning system's "Top ten performers" contest attracted 200,000 views, the "appreciate the Tulip Flower Show" gathered 500,000 live viewers, and other excellent publicity results all shows recognition for Jing' an district’s active and effective use of new media in promoting activities and expanding the impact of events.

傅潇霄女士随后介绍了曼大中国中心积极运用新媒体的各种举措，如2017年4月与上海市欧美同学会、普华永道合办的“狼人盛会”职业分享会，通过直播形式吸引到超250万人次点击观看。活动不仅邀请到了来自不同行业的自主创业者和高管，也请到初出茅庐的曼大校友作为职场新秀代表参与对话，同时有“狼人杀”游戏达人全程参与讨论，通过线上线下多种活动形式互动交流，运用新媒体帮助校友拓展人脉、发掘职业发展机遇。

Ms. Sherry Fu subsequently introduced various initiatives taken by the University of Manchester China Centre in promoting student and alumni events via new media. For instance, the China Centre, the Shanghai Overseas Returned Scholars Association and PwC co-organized the "Werewolf career development sharing affair" in April 2017, which attracted more than 2.5 million viewers via live broadcast. Inviting both entrepreneurs and executive directors from different fields and industries as well as fresh graduates from the University of Manchester and professional Werewolf gamers to participate in the dialogue, the China Centre strives to help alumni to expand their network and explore career development opportunities through online and offline activities in various forms of interactive communication.

交流会上在座嘉宾交流热烈 ，气氛融洽，收获颇多。周晴华女士表示静安区政府将继续支持曼大中国中心的发展。傅潇霄女士表达了将继续为建设“国际静安，圆梦福地”汇聚智慧和人才的信心。双方共同希望以后要多走动、多分享、多交流。

At the end of the exchange, Madame Qinhua Zhou said the Jing' an government would continue to support the development of the University of Manchester China Centre. Ms. Sherry Fu expressed that the China Centre would continue to contribute in building the wisdom and talents for the "international Jing' an, a blessed and promised land to fulfil dreams". Both parties expressed hopes to interact more, share more and communicate more in the future.
