The University of Manchester China Centre has been supporting many CSR initiatives with the focus on education, some initiated by alumni, many organized by the Centre team as well as third party campaigns.
This April, we are calling for alumni volunteers to join our "bring-and-buy sale" where you will be able to learn to draw from professionals and have your art pieces put on display for charity sale. The charity we are supporting is:
The Shanghai Healing Home (SHH) - a non-profit foster home assisting the local Chinese Children‘s Welfare Institutes by providing pre- and post-surgical care to abandoned Chinese orphan babies born with surgically correctable deformities. SHH provides a home-like environment that meets our babies’ physical, emotional and developmental needs.
