Dear Alumni,

With our annual ‘Manchester Day’ fast approaching in June, are you ready?

On June 16th, University of Manchester China Centre and SORSA UoM Alumni Association would like to support charity ‘Dialogue in the Dark’(China), which has two main goals: 1) to increase the public’s awareness of and tolerance for “otherness”; 2) to create jobs for disadvantaged people by turning perceived deficits into potential assets. 

[Father's love is a torch to the darkest]

On this special occasion - Father's Day, alumni's second generation are warmly welcomed at this chartibale run: each alumni runner can bring one kid at no additional cost. We will also prepare special gifts for them. Please make sure to indicate your kid's age and we will contact you shortly for kids' t-shirt size and etc. 

We would like to invite you to join our Running Blind - China Centre 'UoM Now' Social Responsibility Initiative as guide runners with China Centre Director Ms Sherry Fu and provide support for visually impaired people of allability levels, that will allow these blind athletes, whether professional or amateur, to enjoy the a more active lifestyle and enjoy the benefits that a healthy active lifestyle can help provide.


Date and Venue: June 16th, 8:30 - 11:00, Xuhui Binjiang Green Space

Event Type: Open to all alumni and friends

Fees: RMB 200/person, including water, limited edition charity package (eye mask, T-shirt, cap, medal, souvenir), and donation to 'Dialogue in the Dark' (China).
