Would you like to get help with your first steps into the professional world and begin your professional lives with assurance, confidence and focus? Join us for an evening talking with experienced professionals and fellow graduates of the University of Manchester:

Start your Career – Shanghai

Meet experienced alumni professionals, recruitment specialists and employers who will share their experience and answer your questions about getting started in your career. You’ll also hear presentations on how you can use your alumni network and the Careers Service to further your career prospects. You’ll leave the event with sound advice and potentially a lead for your next job.

This event is open to final year students and graduates of the last 2 years who are making their first steps into the professional world.

--Alumni Mentors Wanted--

We are also looking for seasoned professional alumni with more than 7 years of experience to join the networking mix and share their experiences of landing their first job after graduation to help motivate and inspire career starters to begin their professional lives with assurance, confidence and focus.

During the speed networking, you will get the chance to talk to high profile career mentors who are leading experts in various fields. Each mentor will spend 10-15 minutes with a small group of you, share his or her experience, and answer questions about company, sector and personal journey. After 10-15 minutes, a new mentor will come and meet your group.

After the speed networking, you can continue conversations and network informally with the career mentors and fellow students and graduates. We will also invite corporate employers who are looking for new graduates to hire.
