UOM China Centre Alumni Kids Club---- Get Ready for Primary School / Junior High School / High School in Shanghai

In Shanghai, where the anxiety of entering school is the greatest, UOM alumni who are parents really care about the education of their kids. Shanghai's education resources are leading, but the competition is fierce; Shanghai's schools are numerous, but parents encounter difficulties in choosing.

On July 8, 2019, the State Council issued the "Opinions on Deepening the Reform of Education and Teaching and Improving the Quality of Compulsory Education in an All-round Way", which first put forward the policy of "computer random assignment" for private schools admission. Again, it shocked parents. Questions are:

  • How to choose among the numerous state-owned, private, international schools in Shanghai?
  • What lessons, or what experience, can we learn?
  • How to prepare the exams to enter a higher-grade school?
  • How to balance “Exam-led ” education and “Quality-led” education? What can we learn from experienced alumni parents?
  • What could be the impact of the “computer random assignment” policy?
  • What could be the education trend in China in the future? What could be Shanghai’s local school admission policy?

Altogether, it’s such a big mist to figure out.

Luckily, we have our experienced and professional alumni parents in the coming month, to share the experience and current trend with you. Welcome!

Their kids are either from public schools, private schools, or bilingual schools. Among them, there’re parents who have experience in applying for primary school, and for high school also. Let’s get together at UOM center, to share, and to enjoy.
