Alumni Continue Study Club Talk: How to build your resilience

Most people maybe face Trauma, frustration, and adversity inevitably throughout their lives, and sometimes even unpredictable, stress-resistant disasters, such as this COVID-19. We tend to be easy to deal with prosperity and feel happy. we all behavior same under this happy time. But once encountered difficult or frustration, we behavior differently. How to deal with this difficult or frustration reflects individual resilience. Zeng Guofan said:" For excellent chess player, he will not only survive himself but also defeat his adversary when in danger. So he can turn ‘ill’ to ‘strong’,turn failure to success. It is the same with war." In modern words, what Zeng Guofan said “turn ‘ill’ to ‘strong’” is resilience. However, how to build personal resilience? This speech will talk about the dimensions of resilience and how to build resilience.

Allen Mao, Jan 2013 AMBS GMBA alumnus, is the founder of UoM China Center alumni continue study club. He keeps lifelong learning and sharing. He has organized more than 40 sharing events in UoM Shanghai Center. He has rich working experiences in fortune 500 companies. Now he is a Founder of one consulting company. His research focuses on Innovation, Change and Resilience.
