The word “Curator” was originally derived from Latin cūrāre (“to take care of”), meaning “a guardian who takes care of one’s spiritual world”. Souls can be enlightened with the language of art. As one of Forbes China 30Under30S, Tatler Gent T in Asia and Green Women Power List 100, Yemeng Li, the independent curator initiated and planned the first sustainable cross-border art exhibition in China: “Continuous Refle(a)ction” in Beijing Riverside Art Museum and “Continuous Regeneration” in Columbia Circle in Shanghai.
In the last of two years, Yemeng has cooperated with more than 70 artists, designers, architects and creators from 33 countries on five continents, 12 of whom have participated in the Venice Biennale on behalf of their own countries, and 18 have frequently participated in major international biennales worldwide, 6 of them are formal Forbes 30under30s and Tatler GenT elite designers. Meanwhile, she initiated “Art and Sustainable Forum” with more than 40 guests from culture, brands, social renovation groups, institutions to communicate their scientific facts in an experiential way.
