On Tuesday, 15th March 2022, The University of Manchester China Centre has honoured to invited Mr. David Ingram, Founding Head of College at Dulwich College Shanghai Puxi, to bring an enlightening industry insight sharing session online for MA Educational Leadership in Practice course. As a senior expert of leadership in international education sector, Mr. Ingram will share his perspective of how leadership contributes to personal and institutional development among uncertain industrial environment.

Guest Speaker: David Ingram

Founding Head of College at Dulwich College Shanghai Puxi

David Ingram is the founding Head of College at Dulwich College Shanghai Puxi.  Drawing upon 20 years of experience in educational leadership, his mantra as a leader is Getting Better Never Stops.

David studied at university in the United States and United Kingdom, graduating from The University of Swansea.  He went on to complete his MA in the History of Childhood.  David’s first role in education was working at the University of London’s Institute of Education where he conducted the research for Education for the Nation by Professor Richard Aldrich.  He started his teaching career in Northampton shire in the United Kingdom, before moving to Asia in 2000. David was the Senior Leader in three of the region’s top schools: The Alice Smith School in Kuala Lumpur, Kellett School in Hong Kong and Tanglin Trust School in Singapore before founding Dulwich College Shanghai Puxi in 2016.

David is a published author and champion public speaker, having spent many years as a member of Toastmasters International.  He is a keen supporter of Save the Rhino and is committed to supporting the UN Sustainable Development Goals.  This is an important feature of college life at Dulwich College Shanghai Puxi.
