Based on the United Nations sustainable development goal three, to ensure healthy lives and promote wellbeing for all. The theme of this year's "Manchester Day of Action" Chinese alumni event will be the "Purple wave" Chinese alumni online running event. Through alumni in different cities in China participating in online running together, alumni will keep fit and maintain mental health in this challenging time by participating in this event.

Event：2022 "Manchester Day of Action", “Purple Wave” Chinese Alumni Online Running Event

Date：18th June 2022

This event is an online running event which can be joined at any time (18th June 2022) and any place. Participants do not have to join the event in person, register online in their place, and record the running information through the app on their mobile phones to complete the corresponding event requirements (Happy running, 5 km, 10 km), and upload the relevant certificates. Participants can get the electronic medal of the event once they completed the event. This event suggested that the participants wear purple clothes for showing as the members of UoM to participate in the competition. This event advocate for the participants to share their photos on social media. This event will need participants pay entry fee which is CNY99 (Including certificate and purple T-shirt). Also this event will sell some souvenirs, income from entry fee and souvenirs will be donated to local charitable organizations to fulfil the social responsibilities.

The electronic medal requires the participant to upload the corresponding event certificate through the link in the email after completing the activity. The electronic medal will be sent to the email address reserved by the participant within 7 working days after the application form is approved.
