On 13th September, Ilene Zhang, an AMBS Global MBA alumna and a guest speaker invited by China Centre Alumni Continue Study Club, delivered a talk on how to react quickly to new business opportunities, changing market environment and different demands of consumers.

From Ilene’s prospective, in the DANCE era, traditional thinking and strategy making methods seem willing but insufficient. Ilene explained her definition DANCE (Dynamic and changing，Ambiguous and uncertain，Nonlinear, Complex, and Emergent and unpredictable) and shared a set of methodology – Think as Designer -- that is relatively quick and effective in dealing with DANCE. From product to consumer experience, companies need to analyze strategic needs of enterprises under new competition and redefine their strategies and tactics. During the Q&A session, alumni discussed around various kinds of problem solving methods that can help enterprises to make strategic plans more quickly.
