On the afternoon of 15th May 2022, UoM China Centre alumni club hosted Industry Insights from the Metaverse Era event. Some experts, including Sebastien Donadio, CTO architect at Bloomberg. Dr Weilin Shen, Computational Cognitive Algorithm Researcher of UniDT and Mr Rui Zhan, Partner, Dentons Shanghai, have shared their opinions about the Metaverse Era and are trying to find some new business opportunities. UoM China Centre Director Ms Sherry Fu presented a welcome speech. UoM GMBA alumni Justin Zhou, and Nana Gong become the event's host and give a keynote speech. This event has attracted more than 1500 viewers online.

At the beginning of the event, UoM China Centre Director Ms Sherry Fu extended a warm welcome to the guests and alumni who participated in the live-streaming event. She briefly introduced the history of the UoM China Center and a series of excellent alumni activities. Afterwards, Mr Justin Zhou, GMBA alumnus, introduced the general situation of an alumni club and sent her sincere thanks to the GMBA program and the UoM China Centre.

During this event, Sebastien Donadio, CTO architect at Bloomberg, presented a speech about What would be the opportunity in terms of the Tech business of Metaverse? Dr Weilin Shen, Computational Cognitive Algorithm Researcher of UniDT, shared the topic of the exploration of cognitive intelligence technology speeds up the realization of true feelings in the meta-universe with the audience. Mr Rui Zhan, Partner, Dentons Shanghai, shared the information on Legal and Compliance Risks in the Metaverse. The event lasted about two hours, and many alumni shared positive opinions about this event and joined in the discussion online for further development in Metaverse Era.
