On 13 July 2022, a new intake of Manchester Global Part-time MBA students was welcomed by the China Centre team at the start of their two-year MBA journey. The welcome event for the Global MBA July 2022 intake kicked off online and face-to-face.
The cohort comprises MBA candidates from diverse industry backgrounds, including biotech, technology, finance, retail, manufacturing, consulting, FMCG and more. The candidates have an average of 6 to 23 years of work experience.
The ceremony started with a brainstorming "Why a Global MBA?" to mark the start of the MBA journey of transformation.
“Congratulations on joining an exclusive MBA programme at The University of Manchester! Your choice today will lead to two years of hard work and invaluable experience. I hope you can all make the most out of this prestigious MBA,” said China Centre Director Ms Sherry Fu.

Following the opening speech, the Student Support Team from China Centre introduced the student support service to the new MBAs, focusing strongly on blended learning. This approach offers flexible online study in parallel with face-to-face interaction to ensure busy working professionals get the most out of their studies.

Our new MBA students would join their first workshop for the ‘Leading & Managing in a Global Environment’ alongside the induction. To provide more flexibility under the new norm, the programme provides the option to attend the workshop face-to-face, virtually or to delay them until the next semester.
