On May 10th 2019, Chongqing alumni reception hosted by University of Manchester China Centre took place in central Chongqing. Alumni and friends joined the gathering, including: Ms. Shiqing Fu, executive partner (Chongqing) & Manager at ShineWing International, Ms. Si Su from British Council Chongqing, Mr. Jinhao Ou from Chongqing Jiangjin Dist. Investment Promotion Bureau, Ms. Cicely Chen and Ms. Jocelyn Liu from Chongqing regional chapter of UoM alumni association.

Ms. Sherry Fu, director of University of Manchester China Centre proposed a toast to the increasingly expanding alumni community in Southwest China and  shared with Chongqing-based alumni some of the exciting developments and activities happening at the Centre and the University including upcoming University alumni event: Manchester Day.

What is it? Manchester Day of Action is a global alumni volunteer activism campaign, aligned with our Social Responsibility strategic goal.

How to join?

Please identify a suitable local community or charity projectwhich a group of alumni can support on a given day in June.   Please register to show interest in participating or organizing a regional event: please email with subject “Manchester Day“ and include your “year of Intake and programme studied at University of Manchester, WeChat number” and we will contact you shortly.
