【Sign Up】2022 International Photography Competition is coming!

Celebrating the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and the UK, 2022 International Photography Competition and the first China Uk forum are coming soon! This event will include an international photography competition, a “Beautiful World” Photography exhibition and the first China UK forum.

The competition and photo exhibition are organized by SORSA, and the co-organized are MCloud, English branch of SORSA, the University of Manchester Shanghai Alumni Association and SHMT Club.

The Competition

“Friendship and Development” under the “Beautiful World” will be the subject of the competition, which will open for submissions on Monday, 18 March 2022 and will run until Sunday, 1 May 2022.

“Friendship and Development” is an important topic worldwide. The progress of friendship can promote global common development. And the “Beautiful World” is a leading word at that time. “Beautiful World” means that the world will be biodiversity, making the earth full of life and is the foundation of human survival and development. That time, the competition wants to select the best photo of “Friendship and Development” under the “Beautiful World”. And invite more people to pay attention to sustainable development which will benefit our world.

There are three categories of prizes in the competition which are Humanity, Scenery and Zoology as well as a people's Choice Award for the most popular submission. Because this year is an important year for the relationship between China and the UK. The competition will set a Special Award for the Friendship Between China and the UK which can award the wonderful submission that showing the friendship between China and the UK.

All submissions will be judged by the judging Panel as different categories.

Use your camera to capture a moment that you associate with “Friendship and Development” under the “Beautiful World”. And online submit your photograph to us. Your submission should feature a title of and a caption of 150-200 words/characters.

ELIGIBILITY

-The photos must have been taken by yourself. One submission is permitted per participant. Participant must be Chinese who have studied, worked and lived in the UK or British who have studied, worked and lived in China.

-The topic of photos must have the connection of “Friendship and Development” under the “Beautiful World or Photography related to the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and the UK.

-The submissions are digital photos in JPG format, with side length greater than 3000 pixels, less than 8000 pixels, size greater than 2MB and less than 20MB. The submissions are single sheets, and it is recommended to be color photos. The pictures must retain EXIF information. Each submission must be marked with with a 150-200 words caption in Chinese or English.

-The organizer may require the participants to provide the original files (raw or original JPG format) of the photos entering the finals and copies in high-definition JPEG or TIFF format.
