Professor Gao’s research interests include corporate finance, sustainable finance, ESG risks, mergers and acquisitions, information in the financial system, and corporate governance and his works appear in world-leading and internationally reputable journals such as the Management Science, the Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, the Journal of Corporate Finance. Ning is a member of European Finance Association (EFA), Financial Management Association (FMA), American Finance Association (AFA) and Western Finance Association (WFA). He served on the programme review committees of EFA and FMA and as a Principle Investor (PI) for the Economics and Social Research Council (ESRC). He also served as a reviewer for 20 circa world-leading and internationally reputable journals in the fields of finance, accounting and management.
