David Pattison
Lecturer、Alliance Manchester Business School (AMBS)
David Pattison has over three decades of experience in advertising, marketing, and investment. In 1990, he co-founded media agency PHD, which was sold to Omnicom six years later and expanded into a global network. In 2007, he became CEO of digital media group iLG, successfully leading its sale in 2008.
Since 2010, David has acted as a mentor, chairman, angel investor, and adviser across a wide range of industries, particularly tech-driven businesses. His expertise spans equity structuring, fundraising, profitability, cashflow management, and business exits. He currently supports four companies at different growth stages.
At AMBS, he teaches Venture Capital and Private Equity on the GMBA and MSc Finance programmes. In 2021, he published The Money Train: 10 Things Young Businesses Need to Know About Investors, which won the 2022 Business Book of the Year Award.
