How can we turn uncertainty into career certainty in times of change? For expats working in international education sector in China, the past few years have brought a unique set of challenges. Shifting policies and a reshaping of the industry have made job stability a greater concern than ever before. When the external environment is changing so rapidly, is classroom experience alone enough to keep us at the top of our game?
True career security comes from leadership resilience. This kind of resilience doesn’t just help you respond to change – it enables you to spot opportunities within it, and to turn challenges into the next step forward in your career.
Welcome to join us on 18 April for the UoM China Centre Educational Leadership Luncheon in Beijing, featuring our guest speaker Struan Mathieson, Academic Director of the High School at Chaoyang Kaiwen Academy. As an experienced international educator from overseas, Struan will share how he has used his leadership skills to navigate change, seize key opportunities, and continue progressing in his career within China’s international education landscape.
You will also have the chance to learn about the University of Manchester’s master’s in educational leadership in Practice (MA ELiP) – a part-time programme designed for international educators who want to turn their practical experience into systematic leadership and take charge of their professional journey in a changing industry. Rather than simply adapting to change, why not be the one who helps shape it?
